Referral-only business still short on leads? Add a second source.
Hey, it's Cem from Lead Generation Pipeline.
Referrals still leave quiet months. That is the main issue with having a referral-only business. You can't have a predictable pipeline with this stuff.
You don't control when referrals happen. A referral needs a past customer to mention you. They mention you when a friend asks, not when you're slow.
More years in business doesn't change who controls the timing. This is a lead problem, not a reputation problem. Your reputation is fine if you're getting referrals. You just don't have control over the quantity of them.
Keep your referrals, add Meta
We're not trying to replace your referrals. This is just to give you more stability in your business.
You keep every referral you get today. Meta adds a source you can turn up or down.
Quiet month coming? Raise the budget before it hits. Busy season, just lower it. Referrals keep flowing either way.
Your referral is already your ad
What does a happy customer say about you? Usually the owner's name, that you showed up, fair work.
Skip the price promo. It just pulls price shoppers and not your ideal customer. Copy the structure, never the words.
The page says what the ad said. A stranger never met you, so the page does the referring.
Call back like it's a referral call
A referral already trusts you. A Meta lead is a stranger. You can't have the same expectations.
Aim to call every Meta lead within the hour. Within five minutes is the better standard.
Open with their name and the job they asked for. Say how often you work in their town. Ask them when they want to get the job done. Book the visit on the call and log where that lead came from, referral or Meta.
1. Search the Ad Library
Search the Ad Library for your trade, your town and your service. Look at the start date of each ad.
2. Turn referrals into one ad
Write down three things customers say when they refer you. Turn those into one ad: the job, the town, the owner's name.
3. Track both sources
Ask every new customer how they heard about you. Count referral sales and Meta sales separately. Watch cost per sales appointment on the Meta side.
Quiet referral month? That's when the Meta side matters.
