How to set your Facebook ad budget from one sale

Hey, it's Cem from Lead Generation Pipeline.

Most owners guess a budget. They say $500 is going to be enough, and they cut even that low amount in two weeks.

Meta charges you for reach, not for sales conversations. A cheap click can still mean zero sales.

Ask a better question

A better question is: what can I afford to pay for one booked sales conversation?

Cost per lead hides who actually buys. Your bank account only sees sales. It doesn't see clicks.

I spend 5,000. I get 15,000. What am I putting into the system and what is the system giving back? So we start at the sale and work backwards.

1. Find what one sale is worth

Pick one service. Take its average ticket from last year's invoices and subtract what the job cost you. What's left is your profit per sale. Count repeat work only if your books show it. If you're not sure, leave it out. Your budget stays safe that way.

2. Decide the most you'd pay

Decide what share of profit you'd give to win a customer. That share is your max customer acquisition cost. It's your number. If your cash is tight, go lower on the percentage.

If you don't know your numbers, that's the first thing you have to do.
